The technical and engineering staff in the Iraqi Drilling Company have completed drilling operations for the Nasiriyah/51 oil well in Dhi Qar Governorate.
The Director General of the Iraqi Drilling Company, Engineer Basem Abdul Karim Nasser, said that the technical and engineering staff in the company completed drilling a well with a depth of 2,109 meters within the contract concluded with Dhi Qar Oil Company to drill 20 oil wells in the Nasiriyah oil field in cooperation with the Weather Ford Company to provide oil services, indicating that the operations of The drilling was carried out using the IDC 46 drilling rig with a horsepower of 1000 horsepower, which is the fourth well that the company has completed within this project.
And he indicated that the Iraqi Drilling Company completed during the current year the drilling and reclamation of 131 oil wells in the Iraqi oil fields.
He added that the company owns 43 drilling and reclamation rigs, including 30 modern rigs with a capacity ranging between 500 and 3,000 horsepower. Its work extends throughout the geographical area of the country.
