    The Iraqi Network for Community Media (INSM), with the support of the International Rescue Committee, organized a conference towards awareness-raising and early childhood development in Iraq and within the “Ahla Simsim” initiative at Al-Mansour Melia Hotel - Cordoba Hall, in the presence of the Iraqi parliament member Sarwa Abdul Wahed and the Director of Relations and Media In the Ministry of Interior, Major General Saad Maan, Director General of the Children’s Culture House, Dr. Ibtihal Khajik, Secretary General of the Board of Trustees of the Iraqi Media Network, Mr. Jaafar Al-Wanan, and Director of the Rumors Fighting Department at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Nibras Muhammad Ali, with the participation of media professionals and journalists working in various media fields and educational institutions. and cultural and civil society organizations concerned with childhood


    And between the representative of the Iraqi Network for Community Media (INSM), Mr. Imad Al-Shara, the conference included the organization of the workshop (SESAME WORKSHOP) for a number of practical and special themes, the most important of which are (the role of media and content makers, the role of health, the role of education, the role of government and legislative agencies, the role of culture The role of civil society organizations) in early childhood development and presenting recommendations for adoption as a short-term action plan


    Al-Shara stressed that it will continue to hold courses and rehabilitate the largest number of specialists to work in the development of early childhood concepts. Shedding light on the challenges facing early childhood from one day old to eight years old in Iraq and bringing about appropriate change for decision makers through the fourth authority


    And the representative of the International Rescue Committee (IRC), Professor (Ruqayya Hamid), added that the (Ahlan Simsim) project is presented by the Iraqi Network for Community Media (INSM), the first institution for digital rights in Iraq, and with the support of the International Rescue Committee (IRC), which is a non-governmental organization It aims to provide humanitarian aid and international development through training, organizing and empowering journalists to prepare writings, research and ideas that help parents, teachers, kindergartens, society and decision-makers in the state to support childhood and in accordance with international laws and conventions related to childhood, adding we hope Through this project, we develop community awareness about the concepts of early childhood and how to deal with it and what are the most important things that parents should pay attention to in their upbringing in the era of technology everywhere and prepare a generation of journalists that can talk about the subject of childhood development and have an excellent cultural background And take advantage of the largest possible number of Ahlan Simsim materials to achieve allObjectives and target groups, where there will be monitoring, follow-up and evaluation processes for all implemented activities and measuring the required impact after each event.
