    The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the decision to raise the dollar exchange rate was not accompanied by measures to protect the fragile classes, while holding early elections was contingent on “dissolving Parliament for itself.”

    He continued, "The early elections are linked to the extent to which parliament can dissolve itself," adding: "Whenever parliament is dissolved, elections will be held," noting that "the tenth month of 2023 will witness the holding of local council elections."
