Iraq's oil revenues rise by 5.5% in October
Shafaq News/ Iraq's oil revenues increased by more than 5.5% last October.
According to data from the Ministry of Oil seen by Shafak News Agency, Iraq's oil exports, excluding flows from the Kurdistan Region, increased by 5.8% on a monthly basis in October to reach 104.831 million barrels, compared to last September, in which exports amounted to 98.765 million barrels.
Total oil revenues for the month of October rose by 5.53% to reach 9.258 billion dollars on a monthly basis, compared to the month of September, in which revenues amounted to 8.773 billion dollars.
Total oil revenues from Basra's oil exports through the southern ports increased by 5.07% on a monthly basis to reach $9.022 billion, compared to September, when revenues amounted to $8.587 billion.
Meanwhile, oil revenues from Kirkuk crude exports through the Turkish port of Ceyhan increased by 19.43% on a monthly basis to reach $209 million, compared to September, in which revenues amounted to $175 million.
While the oil expert, Muhammad Al-Hasani, in an interview with Shafaq News, attributed, "The reason behind the increase in Iraq's financial revenues from oil is due to the month of October, in which there are 31 days, not 30 days, which led to the emergence of an increase in Iraqi oil exports for the month of October and was reflected This affects financial revenues, despite the drop in the average price of a barrel of oil from last September, as well as the rise in oil exports from the port of Basra to large rates.
Al-Hasani stressed that "the expected reduction in the production of OPEC members on Wednesday will not affect Iraq's oil exports," noting that "Iraq's production is sufficient to cover what refineries need and to export the rest of it."
