    Revenues from Iraqi oil exports to Europe in January 2024 increased by about $200 million, compared to revenues last December 2023, which recorded $1.41 billion.

    According to the calculations of the specialized energy platform, this is the first increase in revenues from Iraqi crude exports since October 2023.

    The value of Iraqi oil exports to the countries of the European continent had declined last December to its lowest level in 6 months. It decreased by about $161 million compared to the revenues of the previous November, which amounted to $1.571 billion.



    A document from the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) showed that the total revenues of Iraqi oil exports during January 2024 recorded about 8.025 billion dollars, compared to revenues in December 2023, which recorded 8.316 billion dollars.

    Revenues from Iraqi oil exports to Europe, in January 2024, amounted to about $1.61 billion, compared to revenues in December 2023, which amounted to about $1.41 billion, an increase of $200 million. .

    The quantities of Iraqi oil exported to European markets in January 2024 amounted to about 20.74 million barrels, compared to the quantities of exports during December 2023, which amounted to about 18.5 million barrels.

    It is noteworthy that November 2023 revenues had decreased by about $471 million, compared to October revenues, which recorded $2.045 billion, which were higher than September revenues by about $505 million.

    In August 2023, revenues from Iraqi oil exports to Europe amounted to about $2.11 billion, while July revenues reached $1.6 billion, according to figures published by the specialized energy platform.

    The price of a barrel of Iraqi oil and the volume of exports.
    The price of a barrel of Iraqi oil in January 2024 reached about $77,653, compared to its price in December 2023, which amounted to about $76.02, and its price in November, which amounted to $80.74.

    During the month of December 2023, the quantities of Iraqi oil exports to Europe recorded about 18 million, 548 thousand and 450 barrels, which is a lower number than November exports, which amounted to about 19 million, 493 thousand and 139 barrels.

    However, these numbers were lower than last October’s exports, which amounted to 23 million, 812,198 barrels, but higher than September 2023 exports, which recorded 16 million, 568,311 barrels, according to the specialized energy platform.
