The representative of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Karim Aliwi, confirmed, on Tuesday, that amending the retirement and social security law will be one of the priorities of the laws that will be amended during the legislative term, indicating that the law will achieve gains for a wide segment of retirees, including the private sector covered by the law.
Aliwi said in a press statement, "The next legislative term will witness the approval of amending many laws that pertain to segments of Iraqi society, foremost of which are the retirees and those covered by social care."
He added, "One of the priorities of the government and parliament is to improve the situation of retirees and social care for the purpose of fairness to them," noting that "amending the retirement law will eliminate the large differences between the upper and lower ranks to create a kind of balance."
And the State of Law Parliamentary Coalition bloc confirmed earlier that the next legislative term will witness amendments to several laws that target retirees and employees, indicating that the amendment of these laws falls within the government service program of the Sudanese government.
