The Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhibis Al-Saadawi, confirmed that the dry canal project will achieve an economic renaissance in the country.
A statement by the Ministry of Transport, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, “The Minister of Transport, Professor Razzaq Muhibis Al-Saadawi, reviewed in an important meeting with the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani , and in the presence of a number of general managers in the Ministry of Transport, the details of the work on the dry canal project.” Pointing out that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani chaired the meeting devoted to the project, in the presence of the (Italian) consulting company in charge of preparing the project's designs."
The Prime Minister said during the meeting, according to the statement, that there is "an urgent need to expedite the implementation of the project and shorten the stages," adding that "the strategic project will achieve revenues and qualitative differences that enrich the Iraqi economy." .”
For his part, Minister Razzaq Muhibis Al-Saadawi confirmed that "the development project is one of the most prominent projects of the ministry in the year 2023."
He said that the dry canal project will achieve "an economic renaissance in our new Iraq," and that it will work to link the East with the West and increase the revenues of the treasury state.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of Iraqi Ports, Farhan Al-Fartousi, the Director General of Iraqi Airways, Karim Kazem Hussein, and the Director General of Railways, Yunis Khaled Jawad.[/size]
