    On Tuesday, government spokesman Basem Al-Awadi confirmed the government's emphasis on moving forward with the e-governance project, while referring to the issuance of a directive from Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani to hold institutions that did not implement the latest measures regarding exchange rate fluctuations accountable.
    Al-Awadi said to official television and its follow-up, Al-Maalouma, that, “Regarding Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani's directive, during today's cabinet session, to hold those who failed to implement the recent decisions related to dealing With exchange rate fluctuations accountable, complaints were received from authorities and institutions in the country about the delay in implementing the decision to change the price to the new price or selling dollars at the parallel market rate.
    He added, "The issue is being vigorously pursued, and the prime minister directed the ministers during the council meeting to continue to follow up on decisions and implement them, and to hold accountable the negligent government institutions that do not implement them."
    And he continued, "Regarding the prime minister's directive as well, to bypass routine and simplify procedures for citizens and the private sector, it falls within the framework of the policy of seeking to generalize electronic governance and automation, which not only simplifies procedures, but It also reduces the burden on the government employee in completing citizens' transactions and provides funds and guidance." He stressed the acceleration of work. The e-governance project and its generalization in all institutions.
    With regard to setting customs duties on a number of materials, Al-Awadi said, "The primary goal is to protect the local product, and the rates of fees vary according to the product, and they were imposed on luxury products as well."
