    Economy News - Baghdad
Baghdad Governor Muhammad Jaber al-Atta revealed, on Wednesday, a large plan to rehabilitate the outskirts of the capital, while calling for the need to include the affected areas in the fund for the reconstruction of areas affected by terrorist operations.
Al-Atta said, "The governorate has a large plan to rehabilitate the districts, sub-districts and villages associated with them," noting that "most of the plans developed for the governorate within the 2023 budget will target poor areas and will have priority in providing services."
Al-Atta called for "including the stricken areas on the outskirts of the capital within the fund for the reconstruction of areas affected by terrorist operations," pointing out that "the governorate's priorities will focus on the educational sector and infrastructure for potable water, sewage water, and roads leading to large population areas, in addition to Paying attention to the electricity sector and other sectors, such as building orphanages.
He added, "The governorate has a plan to support the health sector by rehabilitating hospitals in the Karkh and Rusafa sectors, because these hospitals have become old," explaining that "hospitals must be subject to continuous maintenance, as they are linked to the health status of the Iraqi citizen."
