    {Local: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Defense announced, today, Saturday, that retirees will be included in the lottery of the Officers' Housing Building Association for land distribution.
    The ministry said in a statement, which {Euphrates News} received a copy of, that "in implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, and in support of the retirees, Defense Minister Thabet Muhammad Saeed Al-Abbasi attributed the inclusion of retirees in the lottery of the Officers' Housing Building Association for the distribution of lands from subscribers association, and those who have not yet received a piece of land.”
    And the statement added: "In order to simplify the procedures and alleviate the suffering of the residents of the governorates in moving to Baghdad, the offices of the combatants in the governorates will open their doors to receive applications that include everything that supports affiliation with the association, and the non-receipt of plots of land to be deposited at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Veterans Affairs to coordinate with the Housing Building Association directly." And informing the respondents of the results through the provincial offices.
    And the statement continued: "The Minister of Defense's orders included the inclusion of retired military personnel in review and treatment at Al-Hussein Military Hospital, and in order to reduce the suffering of the residents of the governorates, the directors of the combatants' offices in the governorates were instructed to review the governors to issue orders to the central hospitals in the governorates, to receive retired military personnel and provide service and treatment."
