    {Politics: Al-Furat News} The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, considered the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani to the region as "a good opportunity to create more understanding between Erbil and Baghdad."

    A statement from his office, received {Euphrates News} a copy of it, stated that: "This came during a meeting with Barzani in Erbil, a large number of ambassadors, consuls and representatives of countries, international organizations and international coalition forces in the Kurdistan region and Iraq, and held a luncheon in their honor."
    Barzani referred to "the importance of the symbols, meanings and occasions of March and the Nowruz feast for the Kurdish people," wishing "the guests to spend a pleasant time in Kurdistan during the days of the feast."
    Barzani highlighted the general political situation and the relations between the federal government and the regional government, indicating that "there is a good opportunity to solve the problems, and there is a will and desire to solve them through understanding, based on the constitution, and on the basis of agreements between the parties that formed the state administration coalition."
    He also described Al-Sudani's visit to the region in the past few days, as "
    He stressed, "the need to hold parliamentary elections this year in the region, in order not to question the political legitimacy within the region," pointing out that "there is good cooperation between the international teams and the concerned authorities in the region to prepare for the elections of the Kurdistan region."
    With regard to the electoral rights of the components, President Barzani reaffirmed that "there should be no interference in the rights of the components, and no party should impose its will on them."
    And he stressed that "the will of the religious and national components in Kurdistan must be respected," stressing that "any system that the components and the United Nations find appropriate" for their participation in the elections, "will be acceptable to us as well."
    Representatives of 83 countries from around the world arrived this morning, Saturday, in the city of Erbil, to participate in the Nowruz feast and the Kurdish New Year.
    And last Saturday, the March and Nowruz festival began in Erbil with the opening of the mural of the martyr Khaja Bawa, the first female victim of the 1991 uprising in the Kurdistan region.
