    Information/Baghdad...
Discussions are continuing between the Ministry of Oil and the Kurdistan Regional Government, to set new mechanisms for exporting oil from the region through Turkish territory, which was halted following the issuance of the arbitral tribunal of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, last Thursday.

The Ministry of Oil had confirmed that it would discuss mechanisms for exporting oil through the port of Ceyhan with the region and Ankara, to ensure the continuity of exports, and the fulfillment of the obligations of the National Oil Company (SOMO) with international companies.
The Kurdistan Regional Government, in turn, confirmed, in a statement to the Ministry of Natural Resources, the continuation of negotiations with the federal government, and that the two sides reached an initial agreement under the umbrella of the constitution and the rights of the region .
During a meeting held after the issuance of the international arbitration decision, between the Ministry of Oil and a delegation from the regional government, according to the ministry's statement, “the new mechanisms and data for the region's exports were discussed after the decision issued by the Arbitral Tribunal of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris in the arbitration case filed by Iraq against Turkey for violating the provisions of The Iraqi-Turkish pipeline agreement, which stipulates that “the Turkish government must comply with the instructions of the Iraqi side regarding
the movement of crude oil exported from Iraq to all storage and disposal centers and the final station.” One thousand barrels per day of Iraqi Kurdistan oil exports via Turkey
Legislation of the oil and gas law
Selling the region's oil without returning to Baghdad is a problem that has existed since 2014 until today. It is without a solution, and so the problem became complicated until the last international arbitration decision was issued, which Turkey adhered to, and to stop oil supplies from Kurdistan to the Turkish port of Ceyhan, which is important for the stability of oil markets, which is what It will affect her negatively.
For all of this, Parliament, in cooperation with Baghdad and Erbil, must work to enact a federal oil and gas law, which will not only solve this problem, but will apply to any similar problems in the various Iraqi oil-producing provinces and regions. , as per this law, the National Oil Company SOMO will be solely responsible for marketing Iraqi oil.
And the Kurdistan region agreed to supervise the sale of oil to SOMO, and then the revenues would go to a private bank account, at a time when Baghdad is calling for the cancellation of all contracts related to the sale of oil in the region, according to to economist Nabil Al-Marsoumi.

Al-Marsoumi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “The delegation of the Kurdistan Region agreed to cancel the contracts, but due to the existence of contracts and financial obligations to receive loans and advance payments from companies, Baghdad requested compensation for the companies that sell oil to the region.” And he added, “According to the information, Baghdad is not ready to pay.
” The debts of oil companies amounting to 4 billion and 500 million dollars to the Kurdistan Regional Government after canceling the contracts.
Al-Marsoumi pointed out that “the Kurdistan Region's request that if Baghdad is able to pay off the companies' debts, the Kurdistan Region will submit to Baghdad’s request.”
For its part, the Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee confirmed an attempt to bend the arms and break it will not work with the Iraqi government, and the regional government must resort to Baghdad to solve the crisis.
A member of the Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee, Suhaila Al-Sultani, said in a statement to Al-Maalouma agency, “Everyone must abide by the decisions issued by the Federal Supreme Court and the International Court of Arbitration with regard to natural resources that are considered the property of the Iraqi people from north to south.”
Al-Sultani added, “The Kurdistan Regional Government has tried over the past years to impose its conditions on the central government in the capital, Baghdad,” considering that “this thing is totally unacceptable.” Iraq won an arbitration
case, which was filed last Thursday, against Ankara regarding the export of crude oil from the Kurdistan region. Through the Turkish port of Ceyhan without referring to the Iraqi oil marketing company "SOMO" by the arbitral tribunal of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. Ended / 25 s
