The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed, today, Sunday, the fact that there is an intention to return the budget law to the government.
Committee member Mueen Al-Kadhimi told (Baghdad Today) that “the news that talks about the parliament’s intention to return the budget law to the government is incorrect, so there is no such orientation or intention, and the law has reached us today in the Finance Committee, and we will work to study and discuss the law.” In order to include it for the first reading during the next sessions.
And Al-Kazemi indicated, "The Parliamentary Finance Committee will study the budget law well, and will work to make some amendments in order to ripen the law well, and work to reduce the financial deficit in the budget by canceling some of the expenditure chapters."
And today, Sunday morning, the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, referred the draft budget law to the Parliamentary Finance Committee .
Al-Mandalawi's media office said, in a statement received by (Baghdad Today), that "the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives referred the draft federal budget law to the Parliamentary Finance Committee."
He added, "Al-Mandalawi directed to expedite its study and discussion in order to include it in the agenda at the earliest session."
