The Ministry of Transport is preparing to open three international air corridors with airports in Sabiha in Turkey, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Bahrain as part of its plans to open up to the countries of the world.
"The ministry is proceeding with its plans to expand international air corridors, as it intends, during the next few years, to open three lines: Baghdad-Sabiha Airport, Baghdad-Kuala Lumpur, and Baghdad-Bahrain," said the director of relations and information at the ministry, Maytham Al-Safi.
And he indicated that "the General Company for Airlines has created an organized schedule for flights between Baghdad and Sabiha Airport, according to which work will take place in mid-April, after the line was random and there was no specific schedule for the time of flights," according to the official newspaper.
And he continued, "The rest of the corridors will be worked on soon after the completion of the procedures between the two sides, and that this comes within the plans and studies included in the ministerial program by making a comprehensive change in all services provided by Iraqi Airways to customers and working to open up to the countries of the world in cooperation with The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
