On Friday, an official source in the Integrity Committee in the Diwan of Anbar Governorate reported the existence of financial and administrative corruption in the tax and retirement departments and the Martyrs Foundation after assigning them to the leaders of the Taqaddam Party.
The source said, in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, that “the high rate of financial and administrative corruption in the tax departments and the Martyrs and Retirement Foundation, especially in the districts of Ramadi and Fallujah, came against the backdrop of administrative assigning duties to the leaders of the Taqaddam Party, which is led by Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi," noting that "there is a weakness in government oversight and the failure to hold the corrupt accountable because they belong to the ruling party, which exhausted the citizens when they went to these departments as a result of the spread of bribes in the processes of completing the auditors' transactions and the spread of the phenomenon of forgery.
The source added, "Some of the members of the aforementioned departments are blackmailing citizens while promoting their private transactions in the sale and purchase of real estate, shops, vehicles, trucks and agricultural vehicles, organizing retirement transactions and victims of terrorist operations in conjunction with the discovery of hundreds of forged transactions of ISIS terrorist families after converting him into martyrs of military operations," indicating that "Brokers and employees affiliated with the ruling party provide protection for the corrupt and prevent them from being held accountable by the competent authorities.
