The Martyrs Foundation acquired a plot of land in Baghdad to build a vertical residential complex on it, while it is also coordinating with the National Investment Authority to acquire 2,000 housing units in the Bismaya complex.
The head of the Foundation, Abdul-Ilah Al-Naeli, said: The right to housing is one of the important priorities guaranteed by the Foundation’s law to its beneficiaries, which prompted his department to distribute plots of land and build complexes for beneficiaries in the governorates, but Baghdad faces a problem with the lack of vacant or suitable plots of land to distribute among them.
He stated that the Foundation has followed a strategy in this field that includes building vertical residential complexes, instead of plots of land, to ensure that the largest number of beneficiaries of the capital are included in adequate housing, pointing out that the Baghdad Governorate coordinated with the Foundation and allocated a plot of land with an area of 400 dunums on Abu Ghraib Road, in order to build A residential complex perpendicular to it.

In the same context, Al-Naili explained that the Corporation is coordinating with the National Investment Authority to acquire 2,000 housing units within the Bismaya residential complex, to distribute them among those subject to the Corporation’s law, in addition to seeking to purchase another three thousand units from one of the residential complexes at cost to allocate them to the martyrs.
In addition, the head of the foundation instructed citizens with martyrs’ families not to apply for the cash allowance amounting to 10 million dinars, because obtaining it would deprive them of the opportunity to obtain a housing unit in these complexes that will be constructed and ready for them after several years.
