    Baghdad today - Baghdad
A member of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Representative Salem Al-Anbuge, confirmed, on Monday, that the coordination framework is waiting for the Kurds’ response to the Mandalawi meeting, yesterday evening.
Al-Anbuge told (Baghdad Today) that: "The Coordinating Framework Forces held an important meeting yesterday evening, at the invitation of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, to discuss the 2023 budget file in light of recent developments."
He added, "The framework meeting came to avoid the budget being passed by the political majority, and for the political agreement to be the solution by converging points of view."
He added, "We expect that the budget will be presented to the House of Representatives for a vote tomorrow, Tuesday or next Wednesday, but it is not a firm date, and we are waiting for the Kurds' response to the results of the framework meeting, which pushes for there to be concessions from all parties in order to pass the budget, which is of great importance to all Iraqi segments."
He pointed out that "the budget will be passed, whether by a political majority or a political agreement, if it reaches the House of Representatives, and the Kurds are aware of this, so we are working towards the path being in accordance with consensus that meets the interests of all parties, without exception, in a way that serves the public interest."
And the House of Representatives failed, the day before yesterday, Saturday, to hold a special session to vote on the draft financial budget law for the year 2023, due to the addition of paragraphs by the Finance Committee in Parliament, which the Kurdish political forces considered to be inconsistent with the political agreements on the basis of which the government of Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani was formed. Which relates to the oil of the Kurdistan region, which reflected the fragility of the agreements before the first test, amid warnings of a political crisis.
And the Presidency of the House of Representatives confirmed last week that Parliament will vote on Saturday (the day before yesterday) on the draft budget law, but the attempt of some deputies from the “coordinating framework” forces, who are members of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, to add some paragraphs, especially with regard to the region’s oil export file, It angered the Kurds, who are considered political attempts that contradict previous agreements, and escalated their rhetoric about it, refusing to hold the voting session, which brought the budget back into the circle of political debate.
In an attempt to prevent the escalation of the dispute, the coordination framework held a meeting yesterday, Sunday, during which it discussed a number of important files, foremost of which was the draft federal budget law for the three years (2023, 2024, 2025) and stressing the need to resolve the budget file as soon as possible, due to its direct connection to the work of the government and the affairs of citizens. day-to-day fulfillment of its service requirements.
