In this report, in which experts in the monetary field speak, we will discover the surprising wonder, especially with regard to the smuggling file (dollars) through a random procedure enacted by the Central Bank administration through what was called the window for selling dollars to Travelers through airports, which turned into a “market” for theft and forgery, looting and organized “scraping”, as we will know in the context of the report.

Where these sources said, requesting anonymity, that the Central Bank, after approving a new exchange rate for the dollar, to solve the crisis of the rise of the dollar and its impact on the market and the citizen, warned us as experts against opening the window for selling the currency at the new exchange rate at airports to travelers, because the money will be within the reach of the corrupt, but they - the bank's management - do not see or hear.”

And the sources added that a letter issued by the Minister of Finance in the current government, Taif Sami, decided to withdraw the hand of 21 senior employees from the job as a result of their manipulation of this window, as the information indicates that 10 million A dollar was stolen through this window, during only 20 days of last February, and it was revealed by an investigative committee formed for this purpose, while the investigation is still ongoing for other months, to uncover more stolen money, in a scandal that may be called theft of the century No. 2.

And the sources indicated, “The parties involved in these thefts, according to what was leaked from the investigation committee, are: parties in the Central Bank, the Qi Card Company, and employees of the Rafidain Bank, in agreement with the tourism companies, where the investigation revealed that some of the employees had their hands withdrawn.” Money for 60 times a month as a traveler, and each withdrawal is 7 thousand dollars, as the theft methods were by forging the names of travelers with fake tickets, passports and names, and the citizen may find himself traveling, while he is in his home because of these thefts because they put fake names.

Commenting on this information, the sources said, “In Iraq, every crisis has its own dealers, and they are not far from the decision-makers and the authority, and this is just the tip of the iceberg in the method and methods of theft .”
