    Every announcement of a government achievement on the ground is accompanied by an American action against Baghdad to inflame the street against the government of Muhammad Shia al-Sudani. During the past month, American interventions recorded record numbers regarding the Iraqi issue.

    Tensions are rising between Baghdad and Washington, especially after the Presidency decided to recall the US ambassador to Iraq.
     The presidency stated that it "will summon the US ambassador in Baghdad on this issue in response to the statements made by Matthew Miller, a spokesman for the US State Department, against the Iraqi government regarding the withdrawal of Republican Decree No. (147) of 2013 regarding Patriarch Cardinal Louis Raphael Sako as head of the Christian Church.” in Iraq".
    Meanwhile, the US Treasury announced the imposition of a blockade on 14 Iraqi banks, claiming currency smuggling, amid blatant interventions by the US ambassador and US objection to paying the electricity debts to Iran, which caused a crisis amid the harsh weather and citizens' resentment over the electricity crisis and high prices.

     Returning to the rapid events in July, the leader of the State of Law coalition, Jassim Muhammad Jaafar, warns of the continuation of US pressure.
     Jaafar said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, "The scenario of overthrowing the government of Adel Abdul-Mahdi and inflaming the street by the United States began to be repeated in the Sudanese government."
     He added, "Cutting off electricity to citizens, objecting to handing over debts to Iran, interfering in appointing bishops, and finally imposing a blockade on the dollar will have dire popular consequences."

     He explained that "these measures are capable of destabilizing the street, raising the markets, and delivering a message that the government does not control dollar prices," noting that "the American measures are a pretext that Iran obtains dollars through the Gulf states and other countries because of commercial dealings and does not actually need Iraq.” ".
    Warning of US moves to inflame the street 
     Independent MP Kazem Al-Touki warns of American moves aimed at harming the government by using the people as a pressure card against the Sudanese government, pointing to the possibility of excluding Iraq from dealings with some countries that Washington imposed sanctions on in order to achieve the benefit of the people, as it did with other countries.

    Malicious American plans to tamper with the economy
    Al-Touki told Al-Maalouma, "America has classifications of Iraqi political figures, some of which are classified as figures against Washington, and therefore it is working to put pressure on the government with the aim of standing against those figures."
    He added, "The fabrication of crises by the American side is nothing but an attempt to obstruct the course of the government and make the people a trump card that Washington uses as a factor of pressure against the Sudanese government."
    While the Central Bank of Iraq issued a statement regarding the deprivation of some Iraqi banks from dealing in dollars, while indicating that those banks do not constitute requests for only 8% of the total external transfers.
    The Central Bank of Iraq stated, in a statement received by the agency / information /, that "against the background of recent media news, the Central Bank of Iraq issued a statement regarding depriving some Iraqi banks from dealing in dollars," noting that " Preventing Iraqi banks from dealing in dollars came against the backdrop of checking bank transfers.” For the past year (2022), before the application of the electronic platform, and before the formation of the current government as well.

    He added, "Banks deprived of dealing in US dollars enjoy complete freedom in dealing with Iraqi dinars with various services within the Iraqi banking system, in addition to their right to international dealings in currencies other than the US dollar," noting that "the application of the electronic platform for external transfer ensures the safety of transfer transactions.” And its accuracy in all aspects, in accordance with international standards and practices, and the law against money laundering and terrorist financing, as the US Federal Bank, the US Treasury Department and international financial institutions praised this system, and it enjoys their care, with high coordination from those parties, and with an accredited international auditor.
