    Information / Baghdad..
A member of the Parliamentary Agriculture and Water Committee, Thaer al-Jubouri, confirmed on Sunday that Iraq's water storage levels have reached a dead level, attributing this to the weakness of the Iraqi negotiator in front of Turkey and the failure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to internationalize the issue before the international community.

Al-Jubouri told Al-Maalouma, "There is weakness in negotiation, as well as the military side in front of Turkey, which prompted Ankara to build many dams on rivers, which caused a scarcity of water reaching Iraq."
He added, "The issue of drought and a significant decrease in levels has already been warned of its occurrence more than a year ago."
Al-Jubouri pointed out that "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was warned not to remain silent on this issue and to raise memorandums to the United Nations and the international community regarding the Turkish encroachment on water rights."
And he indicated that "Al-Jazra Dam, and if this dam is established, the Tigris and Euphrates rivers will not exist, at a time when Iraq has reached the level of dead reservoirs due to the continued decline in water levels as a result of Turkish policies and the encroachment on Iraq's water rights." ended 25 n
