    [size=30]The Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, chaired this evening, Wednesday, a meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security, in the presence of members of the Council, during which they discussed the latest security developments, the most important challenges, and ways to confront them.[/size]

    A government statement said, "The Council hosted the Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Minister of Electricity, and the Technical Committee for Electro-Nuclear Projects, where they discussed the investment of electro-electric energy in the generation of electric power at the national level, and the initiation of the construction of a limited nuclear reactor for peaceful purposes and the production of clean electric energy that contributes to reducing dependence." On other sources of energy such as gas and oil, which will have a positive impact on the stability of electric power in the long term.

    [size=30]He added, "In another axis, the second phase was evaluated and the third phase of the plan to transfer security responsibility from the Ministry of Defense to the Ministry of Interior was initiated, after the success of the first phase, which included the governorates of (Muthanna, Diwaniyah, and Wasit), while the second phase included the governorates of (Najaf Al-Ashraf and Dhi Qar). It is hoped that the third phase will include the governorates of (Salah al-Din, Anbar and Nineveh).[/size]
