{Local: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs revealed its intention to launch 10,000 loans for income-generating projects during the next few weeks.
The media advisor to the Minister of Labor, Kazem Al-Atwani, told {Euphrates News} agency, "As part of the Ministry of Labor's plans to reduce the line of poverty and unemployment, is to launch loans for income-generating projects, and 400 billion dinars have been allocated for soft loans within the ministry's budget."
He added, "Young job seekers can apply for loans that start from 10 million dinars and reach 50 million dinars, depending on the project and the number of workers in it."
And Al-Atwani indicated that, "During the next few weeks, a new batch of loans will be launched, amounting to 10,000 loans for those registered on it who have met the conditions, and each applicant must have a guarantor who guarantees him the amount borrowed, otherwise the loan will not be delivered without the presence of a guarantor for him."
He continued, "As for the beneficiaries of the social protection service, they can also apply for loans for income-generating projects in order to build his own project, and the subsidy will stop after he becomes a project owner."
