    Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Commerce announced its efforts to overcome all obstacles that stand in the way of increasing the volume of trade exchange between Iraq and Kazakhstan and to facilitate procedures for organizing specialized exhibitions inside Iraq.
    The ministry stated in a statement received by Earth News Agency, “Minister of Commerce, Atheer Al-Ghurairi, discussed with the Kazakhstan’s ambassador accredited to Iraq, Aidar Bek Tomatov, and his accompanying delegation, ways to develop the level of economic, trade and investment relations, increase the volume of trade exchange, and proceed with concluding the economic, commercial and technical cooperation agreement between the two countries, including It serves their common interests.”
    Al-Ghurairi stressed that “the approach of the current Iraqi government differs from previous governments in its vision of openness to all countries of the world and improving the business environment, with an interest in developing vital sectors that develop and revitalize the Iraqi economy, including industry and agriculture,” noting that “Iraq is witnessing a period of great political and security stability, and we have received a lot of “Requests from countries to enter into partnerships and investments inside Iraq with all sectors because it possesses real fertile land for establishing factories, commercial centers and investment projects.”
    Al-Ghurairi indicated “his ministry’s readiness to overcome all obstacles that stand in the way of increasing the volume of trade exchange and facilitating the procedures for organizing specialized exhibitions inside Iraq,” calling on the Kazakh side to “actively participate in the upcoming international session of the Baghdad International Fair to be a starting point for joint work.”
    For his part, the Kazakh ambassador affirmed “his country’s readiness to strengthen relations with Iraq and that the areas are promising for opening horizons of cooperation, increasing the volume of exchange, discussing the import and supply of goods to Iraq, participating in investment opportunities, facilitating entry visas, holding joint meetings for businessmen in both countries, and participating in exhibitions.”
