Today, Friday (September 15, 2023), member of the Parliamentary Regions Committee, Jawad Al-Yassari, considered that financial and administrative corruption needs a revolution to eliminate it, as it is pervasive in various state institutions in the governorates.
Al-Yasari said, in an interview with "Baghdad Today", that "in the committee we follow various files with all the governorates and look at the services and their obstacles, as there are many problems in the governorates, the most prominent of which are projects and reconstruction."
The leftist revealed “the presence of major financial and administrative corruption that has permeated state institutions in various governorates, and it requires a major revolution and monitoring.”
"For the corrupt and remove them from these institutions," stressing that "this corruption cannot be eliminated easily and the Prime Minister must form special teams and committees to follow up on this file and eliminate it."
The representative stated, “We have not seen entities preventing the fight against corruption directly, but perhaps there are those who cover up the corrupt in some places,” calling on citizens to “report to the competent authorities about various cases of corruption and diagnose its locations.”
The Federal Integrity Commission has previously allocated rewards for anyone who reports inflation in funds or contributes to the return of state-owned or smuggled funds.
