    Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The Federal Integrity Commission announced the recruitment of 13 defendants in the General Company for Petroleum Products Distribution, Salah al-Din Branch, and the Tikrit Municipality, against the backdrop of controlling fictitious purchase transactions and registering plots of land, in violation of the law.
    The Investigation Department reported that 12 defendants were brought into the Transport Department - the General Company for Distribution of Petroleum Products in Salah al-Din, after the special investigation team of the Authority’s Investigation Office in the governorate revealed that they had organized transactions to repair large cars during the years 2017 and 2018 according to fictitious purchase receipts and disbursed their amounts.
    The department indicated that the judge of the Salah al-Din Investigation Court, which is competent to look into integrity cases, decided to bring in the head and members of the company’s procurement committees, who number 12 defendants, in accordance with the provisions of Article 340 of the Penal Code, noting that 6 disbursement transactions were seized by the investigation team.
    She added that the team monitored the Tikrit Municipality Directorate registering two plots of land in the name of a female citizen, noting that one of them was allocated to another person in the minutes of the distribution of residential plots of land during the current year, pointing out that the municipality was aware that the female citizen was not entitled to the first plot of land by placing a no sign. She decided to dispose of it, explaining that the two plots are still in her name in the Real Estate Registration Directorate, which was informed of placing a non-disposal sign on the first plot, confirming that a judicial order was issued to bring in the former director of the property department in the municipality, in accordance with the provisions of Article 331 of the Penal Code.
    She explained that violations were identified in the paving project at the intersection of a street opposite the industrial district in Balad district, which was implemented by the governorate in the amount of 246,000,000 million dinars, indicating that the governorate paid the full amount of the project despite the absence of an initial receipt record, and the failure to form a technical committee to supervise and monitor.
