    [size=45]Today, Saturday, the Iraqi Media and Communications Commission won the Leadership Award in Digital Inclusion in the Emirates.[/size]
    [size=45]A statement from the authority said that it “won the Leadership Award in “Digital Inclusion” on the sidelines of the Leadership and Excellence Awards Ceremony organized by the “Sameena Communications” Council in the United Arab Emirates in the presence of senior decision-makers from regulatory authorities, bodies and international institutions around the world.”[/size]
    [size=45]The Chairman of the Authority, Ali Al-Muayyad, confirmed during the ceremony that “Iraq was honored with this award for the efforts made by the Information Authority in the field of regulating the communications and information technology sector and working on regional and international openness to develop the sector inside Iraq.” He thanked His Excellency the Prime Minister, Engineer Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, for his special interest in supporting and developing the sector. This is an important sector.”[/size]
    [size=45]He added, “The Authority works to ensure equality and fair access for the public to information and communications technologies and their better use in life and work in areas where these services are absent or weak.”[/size]
    [size=45]The statement continued, “The SAMENA Council considered that the award that Iraq won for the first time in twenty years represents an important recognition that the country is taking the steps to regulate and develop the communications sector correctly.”[/size]
    [size=45]The statement concluded, “The Leadership and Excellence Awards are one of the most prestigious awards that celebrate the achievements of the communications and information technology sector and are organized by the SAMENA Council as an alliance of telecommunications companies in South Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa.”[/size]
