Shafaq News/ On Saturday, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein warned of the outbreak of war in the region against the backdrop of the ongoing military conflict between Israel and the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, stressing the need to distance the country from the spark of that war if it breaks out.
This came in a speech he opened at the seventh edition of the Iraq Ambassadors Conference in Baghdad, entitled “Iraqi Diplomacy, Balanced International Relations and Sustainable Economic Development.”
Hussein said in his speech, "We are meeting today, and this does not mean the disappearance of the challenges facing our country and the entire region. Rather, there are internal dangers and threats that threaten the region with war."
He stressed that "the Iraqi interest, keeping the country away from the spark of war, and preserving order and the democratic process are among the fundamentals of the Iraqi government's work."
