The Ministry of Industry and Minerals will hold an industrial partnerships conference early next month, December, in Basra Governorate, with local, regional and international participation.
The ministry’s spokesperson, Duha al-Jubouri, said in an interview with “Al-Sabah” followed by “Al-Iqtisad News” that “the conference, which will be held on December 2-3 in Basra Governorate, will present more than 80 opportunities for industrial partnerships with local, regional and international companies that will participate in the conference.” .
She added, "The conference will be an economic and investment demonstration, as Arab and foreign industry ministers will participate in it after inviting them to attend."
Al-Jubouri stated that “the conference will complement the previous conference held by the ministry in Baghdad, which resulted in strong outcomes with huge companies specialized in the field of phosphate, fertilizers and mining, which reached the stage of revision and then signing after being fully studied by the Minister of Industry, Dr. Khaled Battal.” Al-Najm, the Opinion Committee in the Ministry, and the Reconstruction and Investment Committee in the Prime Minister’s Office, to advance the country’s economic reality during the next stage in those sectors.”
She explained that "most of the previous partnerships that proved to be failures were canceled by a committee headed by the current minister, and will be presented again at this conference to restore the Iraqi industry to its former state."
