Al-Sumaria News correspondent said, “Today the Federal Court held a session to consider the lawsuit filed by Representative Laith Al-Dulaimi, and Representative Bassem Khashan as a third party alongside Al-Dulaimi,” explaining that Khashan presented evidence proving Al-Halbousi’s involvement in contracting with a foreign company whose director is the former Zionist prime minister, and this company is from Its most important goal is to normalize relations between Israel and other countries.”

He added that the court decided the following:

First: “The parliamentary order terminating Laith Al-Dulaimi’s membership in the House of Representatives is invalid.”

Second: “Termination of the membership of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammed Al-Halbousi, as of the date of issuance of the decision.”

Third: “Termination of Representative Laith Al-Dulaimi’s membership in the House of Representatives as of the date of issuance of this decision.”

Al-Sumaria’s correspondent pointed out that the Federal Court confirmed that forcing a representative to submit a prior resignation violates the provisions of Article 20 of the Constitution, which guarantees the right to participation for all citizens, and the provisions of Article 16, which guarantees equal opportunities for everyone to participate in the elections. The above violates the provisions of the aforementioned articles.
