The Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Benkin Rekani, confirmed on Tuesday that there is ongoing government work to remove the conflicts obstructing the projects .
Rikani said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “there is an accumulation of problems in the country’s infrastructure, and the current government is a services government and is working to meet the needs of citizens, in the field of infrastructure, including roads, bridges, cladding campaigns, and laying water, sewage, electricity, and communications pipes.” ".
He added, "There are problems that hinder projects, such as the conflicts that exist due to some people seizing state property from large, important, or commercial plots of land, and we call on the media and citizens to help us in this regard, because money is the people's money and it is everyone's duty to fight abuses. "
Rikani continued, “Through bottleneck relief projects, we discovered a huge amount of violations on important lands inside the city of Baghdad that were illegally seized, and with the cooperation and great support shown by the Prime Minister and the security forces, we are removing all conflicts to move forward with the projects, and things are going well despite the difficulties.” ".
