    Today, Friday, December 15, 2023, security leaders held a meeting inside the headquarters of the Joint Operations Command to discuss all security measures, procedures and steps followed to secure private and public voting polling centers. During the provincial council elections.

    Al-Sumaria correspondent says, “A security meeting was held inside the headquarters of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3370664199/%D9%82%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%AF%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D9%85%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%AA %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B4%D8%AA%D8%B1%D9%83%D8%A9/ar/]Joint Operations Command[/url] to discuss all security measures, procedures and steps followed to secure private and public voting polling stations during the provincial council elections.”

    According to the Election Commission, voting in the elections will actually begin on December 16, but it will be limited to the armed forces, security services, and displaced people, while general voting for citizens will take place on the 18th of the same month, as about 16 million voters have the right to vote. As for the displaced people in the displacement camps, the Commission states that “their number is 48,260 displaced people, the number of their polling centers is 35, and the number of polling stations is 120,” noting that “voting begins at seven in the morning until six in the evening.” 

    The Election Commission tells Al-Sumaria News, “Tomorrow, Saturday, December 16, 2023, special voting for the armed forces, security services, and displaced persons will begin, as the number of security forces reaches 1,002,393 individuals, and the number of their polling centers reaches 565 centers and the number of polling stations.” 2367 stations".
