Today, Sunday, the Minister of Planning, Muhammad Ali Tamim, directed the completion of all requirements for signing contracts with international examining companies.
A statement from the ministry received by “Al-Eqtisad News” stated that “Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, Muhammad Ali Tamim, chaired today a meeting of the Ministry’s Contract Review and Referral Committee, attended by the two Undersecretaries of the Ministry, the Head of the Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control, and the Director General of the Legal Department.” And the Directors of Internal Control and the Contracts Department in the Minister’s Office.
The statement added, “During the meeting, contracting mechanisms with international inspection companies, qualified by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, were discussed, with the aim of examining imported goods and products in the country of origin.”
He continued, “ The meeting also witnessed a discussion of the progress of work in implementing Social Fund for Development projects, and ways to expedite the completion of the requirements for referring those projects within the commitments and timelines specified for them, in order to provide services to the poor villages included in the Fund’s projects.
The Minister of Planning directed, according to the statement, “to complete all requirements for signing contracts with qualified international examining companies, in accordance with the law, government contracts implementation instructions No. 2 of 2014, and standard documents.”
