    The Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Region announced, on Monday, the signing of a joint agreement with the Royal College of Pathology, College of Pathologists in London, United Kingdom, after two years of laboratory efforts and for the first time in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
    The ministry said in a statement, seen by “Al-Iqtisad News”, that “following the previous visit of the region’s Prime Minister, Masrour Barzani, to the United Kingdom, and in the first international and historic initiative and achievement, a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Health, headed by Minister of Health Saman Barzanji, and a government representative... Kurdistan Region in the United Kingdom Karwan Jamal Taher visited the Royal College of Pathology, College of Pathologists in London, United Kingdom,” noting that “after two years of laboratory efforts, and for the first time in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, a joint agreement was signed with the Ministry of Health in the Regional Government in the presence of the President Royal College of Pathologists.
    The statement explained, “The signing took place between the Ministry of Health, Kurdistan Council, and the Royal College of Pathology to become a reliable partner of the Royal College of Pathology to develop infrastructure, human resources, laboratory specialists, academics, training, and admission to higher education in laboratory and pathology specializations, training courses, and many joint projects.”
    The statement added, “The agreement includes the achievements of improving the level of medical and laboratory experts in the field of pathology, hematology, biology, cytology, and others in the Kurdistan region to the level of international relations.”
