Today, Tuesday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani directed to expedite the resolution of problems and conflicts in the project to maintain and develop the Baghdad-Wasit entrance.
A statement received by “Al-Iqtisad News” stated that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani conducted, this Tuesday morning, a field visit to the site of the Baghdad-Wasit entrance maintenance and development project, and was briefed on the progress of the ongoing work there.” /span> The statement continued, “The project includes widening the main road extending from Al Rustamiyah to the Energy Square with a length of more than 8 km, as well as widening the road extending from the Energy Square to Bismaya with a length of 7 km, from 10 meters to 16 meters on both sides, and fully furnishing it, with the construction of two service roads with two lanes along the length.” The road is 8 m wide, with four overpasses, three concrete bridges for pedestrian crossing, and the main road is blocked with concrete beams. To relieve traffic congestion, while completion of the bridge built on the Diyala River reached 99%. The Prime Minister directed “to expedite the resolution of problems and conflicts and prepare replacement orders, as well as to end the interference in implementation between the implementing agencies,” stressing “the accuracy of implementation, safety aspects, and alternative methods, due to the importance of this entrance in the city of Baghdad, taking into account the needs of citizens, and maintaining the smooth flow of movement.” Traffic".
He added, “Al-Sudani listened to a detailed presentation of the project plan, the stages and rates of completion, the progress of implementation of the attached paragraphs, and the most prominent challenges facing work on it.”
