Abdul Latif said in an interview with the After Investigation program broadcast on Al-Sumaria TV, “The Minister of Oil does not have the right to contract with a marine company for land transportation, unless he finds there is a need to improve the company’s situation for the better, and the Parliamentary Oil and Gas Committee has the right to appeal the contract.”

He added, "Serious solutions must be found to the issue of losses occurring in oil extraction and transportation operations."

Abdul Latif continued, "[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Until now, it imports fuels such as gasoline and gas from neighboring countries, with a daily production of 4 million barrels per day of oil, wondering: Is[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Unable to build a refinery sufficient to cover the country’s need for gasoline.”
