The Minister of Environment, Eng. Nizar Amidi, directed the general managers to present what has been accomplished during the past six months and the upcoming projects and programs that will be implemented, stressing the importance of making more exceptional efforts in the process of granting environmental approvals and finding appropriate solutions to environmental problems and challenges, to achieve the real goal of protecting and improving the environment and serving Iraqi citizen.
This was confirmed by the Minister of Environment, Eng. Nizar Amidi, during his chairmanship of a meeting that included the undersecretaries and general managers of all departments, which was held at the Ministry’s center today, 7/9/2023, to discuss a group of important environmental issues.
Where they discussed the implementation of the Prime Minister's directives to redouble work efforts, stress the fight against corruption, encourage professionalism, integrity and efficiency, and take a set of decisions that contribute to improving the performance of the Ministry of Environment according to the current stage.
It was also stressed the need to provide studies and recommendations on the most important projects that are lagging behind in Baghdad and the provinces, and to develop current and future solutions and remedies, with the importance of strengthening the participatory approach and joint responsibility with the rest of the ministries and government institutions to take appropriate decisions and measures for environmental challenges
and to follow up on environmental safety and improvement in the country.
