    Today, Thursday, Iraqi Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani welcomed Iranian companies to work on implementing projects in the oil and energy sector.

    A statement from the Ministry, a copy of which was received by 964 Network, stated:

    The Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil stressed the importance of cooperation with international companies and countries in the region in implementing investment projects to develop the oil, gas and renewable energy sector in Iraq.
    This came during his meeting with a group of heads of Iranian companies.
    Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayan Abdul Ghani, said that Iraq has invited specialized international companies to participate and contribute to the development of the oil and gas industry by participating in the oil and gas licensing rounds, including the fifth round and the sixth round, to develop oil and gas fields and sites in a number of countries. Governorates of Iraq, which contain promising and important opportunities.
    The Minister pointed out the support and support of the government and the ministry for these strategic projects, providing the appropriate facilities and investment environment due to their importance in developing the oil industry, and enhancing joint cooperation with companies specialized in the investment and sustainable development sector.
    Abdul Ghani praised the development witnessed in bilateral relations between the two countries, and their keenness to enhance the prospects for joint cooperation in the oil and energy sector, pointing out the importance of forming joint committees in the specialized sectors.
    Including gas, exploration, drilling, pipelines, training, joint fields, renewable energy, refinery, infrastructure, etc. Iranian companies are welcome to implement projects in the oil and energy sector.
    The meeting was attended by a number of officials in the Iranian Ministry of Oil, and members of the Iraqi delegation accompanying the Minister, in addition to the Iraqi ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
