Zozan Koçer, the first deputy of the committee, said that the Turkish side did not show any response, noting that what was required was to release quantities of water into the Tigris River amounting to 500 cubic meters per second, and 300 cubic meters per second in the Euphrates, as no water imports had arrived in the two rivers. At the required level, according to Iraq's actual need, according to the official Al-Sabah newspaper.

She added that one of the Turkish dams blocked the share of water coming to Iraq to more than 50%, stressing the need for serious and successful negotiations to take place, as no one has the right to cut off water because it is not a commodity, but rather a human right, and it is distributed equally, as is the case with many countries that share water. Water.

Koger explained that the Ministries of Agriculture and Water Resources have developed plans to raise irrigation efficiency and use modern methods, whether by drip or sprinklers, to reduce water waste and fully use the available water, stressing ensuring its equitable distribution among the governorates and preventing violations of river columns, which necessitates the use of scientific methods. Modern cultivation using varieties that resist drought and harsh conditions and crops with moderate water consumption.

She pointed out that according to satellite images, there are expectations of a wet year, and rain will fall in good quantities and at appropriate times, as it will replenish water storage, groundwater and dams, and return the rivers to their nature, in addition to the fact that feeding with rainwater and torrents from the Khabur and Hazel rivers in the previous months led to an increase in Water releases into the Tigris River range from 700 to 800 cubic meters per second, which increases its level well.
