    Information / Baghdad..
On Wednesday, the leader of the State of Law coalition, Jassim Muhammad Jaafar, called on the House of Representatives to cancel the decision to dissolve the Presidency, to avoid dominating the legislative house.

Jaafar said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, “The former Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, exploited the position to dominate the Council and take decisions alone by setting paragraphs related to session schedules.”
He added, "Since the beginning of the political process, the sessions of the Prime Minister and Parliament have been subject to consultation between the Prime Minister and his two deputies, as well as the Speaker of Parliament," pointing out that "Al-Halbousi took advantage of some political circumstances, as he began to abolish the Presidency to establish a single unit that dominates Parliament."
He pointed out, “The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, presented during the first session of the legislative term the paragraph of restoring the Presidency, which is correct and consistent with the political agreement upon which the political process took place.”
Jaafar called on the members of the House of Representatives to "cancel the decision to abolish the Presidency, which Muhammad al-Halbousi exploited to dominate Parliament and to monopolize decisions by setting paragraphs related to session schedules and in contravention of the political consensus within which the Council of Ministers works."
It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives voted to complete and approve the amendments to the articles of the bylaws, including canceling the phrase “the Presidency” and replacing it with the phrase “the President” or one of his two deputies. Ended / 25 AD
