[size=45]Director of Relations at the Ministry of Interior, Khaled Al-Muhanna, said on Sunday that the Ministry is conducting a campaign during which it arrested dozens of owners of money exchangers and tourism and travel offices who deal in dollars in violation of the instructions of the Central Bank, as intelligence monitors everyone and information is received daily.[/size]

There are dozens of violators of the instructions of the Central Bank, who have been arrested. Some of them are from banking offices and others from tourism and travel offices, and so are most of the stores that do not adhere to the procedures of the Central Bank and deal in hard currency. These campaigns are currently taking place throughout the country and not in Baghdad alone.[/size]
[size=45]There are campaigns parallel to this campaign, such as the issue of awareness and education through our various agencies such as organized crime and community police. We want there to be a voluntary commitment in addition to the existence of laws and instructions that hold accountable and punish violators of this policy. We want there to be a strength for the Iraqi dinar, and we have seen the response of citizens.[/size]
[size=45]The sources of information are diverse, ranging from the cooperation of citizens, hotlines and their agents, intelligence sources, or through investigation and inspection, and we receive information on a daily basis.[/size]
[size=45]Handing over the security file to the provincial police instead of the army was successful in 6 governorates: Babylon, Wasit, Diwaniyah, Najaf, Diwaniyah, and Dhi Qar. Today, the security file was handed over in Samarra. During the year 2024, the security file will be handed over in all governorates except Baghdad, Kirkuk, and Basra, which was postponed to 2025. .[/size]
