The real estate market in Baghdad is witnessing a huge jump in prices described as unprecedented, confirming the existence of huge money laundering operations resulting from rampant corruption in the country, as real estate prices in some Baghdad neighborhoods have exceeded their counterparts in European and Arab capitals, despite the decline in citizens’ purchasing power.

According to the data announced by the German company: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked first in the Arab world with an expected value for the current year of $2.100 billion, with a growth of 2%, followed by Morocco second with an expected value of $1.630 billion, with a growth of 4%?

The data showed that Egypt came third in the Arab real estate market with an expected value for the current year of 1.450 billion dollars, and Iraq came fourth with an expected value of 1.120 billion dollars, with a growth of 6%.

Data from the German company Statista, which specializes in market and consumer data, indicated that Oman and Bahrain were at the bottom of the table in the Arab real estate market with $325 million, an expected growth of 4%, and $85 million, an expected growth of 4%, respectively.
