    A statement from the Authority’s Government Information and Communications Office, received by Al-Iqtisad News, stated that “The Authority’s Investigation Directorate in Nineveh Governorate has formed a team to investigate and investigate information received by the Directorate about the head of the Hamdaniyah Cooperative Housing Society and its members trespassing on agricultural lands belonging to the state, and cutting them up and selling them to citizens.” ", indicating that "the team, after conducting investigations, investigations, and verifying the validity of the information and verifying its authenticity, moved to the Hamdaniya district and was able to arrest the president of the association and one of its members, on charges of intentionally damaging state funds, in addition to seizing the association’s documents and copies of the land plot restrictions.”
    He added, "The preliminary investigations conducted by the team showed that the defendants were cutting up agricultural lands owned by the state and selling them in violation of the law, and without obtaining the necessary approvals," explaining that "the area of ​​these lands is (572) dunams and their value is estimated at (5,000,000,000) Iraqi dollars."
    He pointed out that “a formal arrest report was prepared for the operation, and it was presented, along with the defendants, documents, and copies of land records, to the competent investigating judge, who decided to detain them pending investigation, based on the provisions of Article (340) of the Penal Code.”…
