A high-ranking official in the Iraqi federal government confirmed today, Thursday, that the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government has not yet sent lists of its employees to the Federal Ministry of Finance for the purpose of disbursing their salaries, according to the recent Federal Court decision.
The government official, who requested that his name not be published, said, “The process of disbursing salaries will be preceded by audit procedures, and then localization in government banks, so that the employee in the region can disburse them from the approved outlets, each in his governorate... Any delay will be borne by the Kurdistan government in front of its employees and retirees.” ...
