     Representative Mudar Al-Karawi confirmed, on Monday, that parliamentary signatures had been collected to resolve the fate of 260 contractors for 14 years in Iraq.
    Al-Karawi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “Parliamentary signatures were signed by dozens of representatives to support the rights of 260 contract workers working within the 140 Committee of the Constitution, whose confirmation decision has not been decided for 14 years.”
    He added, "The signatures support the option of presenting their file in the 2024 budget tables in order to secure financial cover for their accommodation, especially since they have completed all legal and administrative procedures, pointing out that there is parliamentary support to resolve the fate of the contracts."
    He pointed out that "the 2024 budget schedules have not yet arrived from the government, which will include important topics related to financing state institutions and the investment and operational budget."
    Committees were formed under Article 140 of the Constitution, which are concerned with several files in disputed areas and the application of administrative and legal procedures regarding them, especially the disbursement of compensation. Ended 25 F
