[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee disclosed the results of its official visit to Romania and the agreements that resulted from it.
The head of the committee, Representative Dylan Ghafour, said in a joint press conference with her counterpart in the Romanian Senate, Titus Kurlatsian, that “Iraq is keen to revive the historical and diplomatic relations that bind the two countries,” and she appreciated Romania’s position in support of Iraq in its war against the terrorist ISIS.
She added, "The official meetings between the Iraqi and Romanian sides resulted in a serious desire from both countries for joint cooperation in the economic, social, educational, tourism, energy and agricultural fields," expressing her hope that this visit will be the beginning of opening future horizons for fruitful and effective parliamentary-diplomatic cooperation.
She confirmed, "There is a close visit by the Iraqi Foreign Minister to Romania, followed by a corresponding visit by the Romanian Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism to Iraq, and both visits will be a very important step for implementing the agreed upon practical recommendations and proposals."/End 5
