Today, Tuesday, the Prime Minister of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, spoke about a plan to abolish or weaken the entity of the Iraqi Kurdistan region.
Barzani said during his participation in an iftar banquet in Erbil and followed by Mawazine News: “There is a plan that has been being implemented for a long time in various ways to eliminate or weaken the entity of the Kurdistan region.”
He expressed his "regret for supporting these chauvinist tendencies from within the Kurdistan region to pave the way for eliminating or weakening the entity of the Kurdistan region and its gains."
He pointed out, "The Constitution defines the rights of the Kurdistan region and also defines our duties, which we have spared no effort in performing."
He stated, "He foiled many plans, indicating that they are seeking to violate what is stated in the constitution as well, and the issue is not only related to salaries."
