Today, Friday, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Idris Shaaban, accused "unnamed" political parties of obstructing an agreement to end the differences between Baghdad and Erbil.
Shaaban told (Baghdad Today) that "the political parties are hindering Baghdad and Erbil from reaching an agreement regarding the budget, the issue of oil and gas, and sending the funds allocated for employee salaries."
He added, "The visit of the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, was an important part of resolving the differences between the two sides."
And he added that "the federal government is affected by pressure from various parties that impede reaching an agreement that ends the problems," as he put it.
