The Human Organ and Tissue Transplantation Law is ready for its second reading

The Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee pointed out that it has many laws on its table, the most important of which is currently the Human Organ and Tissue Transplantation Law, which is located under the dome of Parliament and ready for second reading.
Committee member Bassem Al-Gharabi said in an interview with Al-Sabah: “The committee has three laws, including the second reading for human organ transplantation and tissue transplantation,” indicating that “the law will improve and provide immunity for the doctor, and methods for handling the donation of these organs, in addition to establishing a bank.” For human organs, similar to neighboring countries and countries around the world, and therefore the law will provide an official outlet for obtaining these organs easily and how to donate through the deceased person or whoever writes the will.” He added, "Religious and jurisprudential matters were previously an obstacle, and some jurisprudential opinions were taken into account in the law after amendment and discussion. If the law is passed, the problem of obtaining human organs at high amounts will end." Al-Gharabi revealed that “the goal of passing the law is to contribute to eliminating human organ trafficking gangs, especially since the legal procedures that will be followed and facilitated for the citizen under the supervision of medical authorities will limit these illegal groups, especially after the bank provides a specific form specifying the organ donor and to whom the donation will be made.” "With it."
