Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Syria Geir O. Pedersen discussed, on Tuesday, finding a comprehensive and sustainable settlement to the Syrian crisis.
The Foreign Minister said in a tweet on the (X) website: "I received a phone call from the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Syria Geir O. Pedersen."
Hussein added, "During the call, we discussed the current situation in Syria, and exchanged views on Iraq's pivotal role in the region," and stressed "the importance of joint efforts to find a comprehensive and sustainable settlement to the Syrian crisis."
