Oil expert Hamza Al-Jawahiri said on Monday that the interests of major industrial countries conflict with the idea of a regional war in the region.
Al-Jawahiri told / Al-Maalouma / agency that "the outbreak of a regional war in the Middle East and the Gulf region does not serve the interests of major industrial countries, whether Eastern or Western, as more than 60% of the world's exported oil comes out of this region."
He pointed out that "there are rapid announced and unannounced moves by countries to prevent the expansion of the conflict in the event that the Islamic Republic launches a military strike against the Zionist entity."
He stressed that "it is not possible to predict the nature of the Iranian strike against the Zionist entity, which is expected to be harsh and unexpected."
He added that "the outbreak of a regional war or even one confined to the Gulf region will have major economic consequences, especially in the issue of global oil prices." End / 25m
